Citrix DaaS / CVAD Resiliency, Availibility and Outage Recovery
|
![]() | Creation of a resilient architecture should be one of the highest priorities for Business and Technical Requirements of a Citrix DaaS / CVAD Design. Outages are not the same as declared Disasters, and typically require different recovery strategies. During this session, we’ll define and test environment specific failure scenarios, such as the loss of all internet links in a datacenter or public cloud region. In a “Cloud-first World”, internet or cloud service outages must be expected, and tested. Spoiler alert: VDAs and Cloud Connectors don’t play nicely it when you disconnect them from each other or the Cloud-hosted services, and a lot of work has been done to make that experience as painless as possible. Design Decisions impact how badly things fail, and how long they take to fully recover. During this presentation, I’ll share how we were able to tackle such challenges, minimizing the post-outage recovery time for a mid-size deployment including a live demo of a failure-driven scenario. |

Migrating NetScaler environments can be a daunting task, filled with complexities, technical challenges, and hidden pitfalls that can derail even the most well-planned projects. Whether you’re moving to a new physical appliance, moving VPX instances to a new SDX, or moving to a whole new hypervisor, the stakes are high, and the margin for error is slim. That’s why understanding the right strategies and knowing what to avoid is critical for a successful migration. In this one-hour session, “NetScaler Migration Masterclass: Strategies, Pitfalls, and Success Tips,” we’ll demystify the migration process and equip you with the tools and insights needed to ensure a smooth transition. You’ll learn how to effectively plan your migration by assessing your current environment, identifying dependencies, and mapping out a clear path forward. We’ll dive into best practices for configuration management, testing, and validation to minimize downtime and avoid disruptions. But it’s not just about what to do—it’s also about what not to do. We’ll uncover common pitfalls that can lead to performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, or failed rollouts. From misconfigured policies or missing files to overlooked compatibility issues, you’ll walk away with a clear understanding of how to sidestep these challenges. This session is designed for Citrix Admins, network engineers, and system architects who want practical advice from real-world experience. Whether you’re planning your first migration or looking to refine your existing processes, this talk will provide actionable insights to help you save time, reduce risk, and achieve a seamless migration. Join us for an engaging and informative hour that will leave you confident in tackling your next NetScaler migration project with precision and success! |
Daniel Feller | Stopping Attacks with the Mondern Kill Chain (and a Roundhouse Kick from Chuck Norris) |
![]() | It starts with a single text. Cyber attackers don’t need to smash through firewalls or exploit unpatched systems—they just need to trick one of your users. With minimal research, they can craft convincing messages, gain trust, and slip in undetected. But modern threats demand modern countermeasures. The modern kill chain gives you multiple opportunities to detect, disrupt, and neutralize attacks before they escalate. By understanding the steps attackers take, you can fortify your defenses and stop threats in their tracks—preferably with the force of a Chuck Norris roundhouse kick. In this webinar, we’ll break down the five key stages of the modern kill chain:
